Soofia Mahmood, Principal Consultant

I’m a strategy and communications executive with more than 20 years of experience across nonprofit, international development, and social impact organizations in South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and Canada.

Throughout my career, I have led multidisciplinary portfolios spanning communications, organizational learning, impact and evidence, and programs. I have built strategic communications and executive planning functions and worked on behaviour-change communications.

My career has rarely stayed inside one functional box. I’ve served as an executive, built teams and systems, led strategy, translated evidence into narrative, worked with Boards and executives, navigated complex stakeholder environments, and taken ideas through to execution.

That range, with senior leadership and executive experience, domain expertise in strategic communications, and a systems thinking approach, is what I bring to the table.
